Bio:
I am a PhD from the Indian Institute of Management (Lucknow), postgraduate from Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), PGDBA & CFA from ICFAI Business School, and B.Sc. (Engineering) from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. Before moving into academics in 2014, I have worked for about 18 years in the supply chain domain at globally renowned organizations such as Tata Motors, HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services and Dell International Services. During my corporate stint, I have played diverse roles in Digital Transformation journeys of customers in US, UK and Japan.
I have published numerous cases and have co-authored a book titled ‘Lean Management for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises: Adapting Operations to Changing Business Environment’, published by Springer Nature. My areas of interest are Digital Transformation, business process management and Enterprise Architecture. I am a Panel Member of Digital Transformation, IT and Startup chapter of CII, Telangana.

Q. How long have you been involved with The Open Group? Only since last few months
Q. What do you do, and how long have you been doing it?
Since over last 12 years, I’ve been teaching, researching, and advising business management as part of my academic stint.
Q. Why did your organization become a Member of The Open Group Open Digital Transformation Forum and what does/will your involvement look like?
IMT, Hyderabad has always been at the forefront of industry-relevant knowledge creation and dissemination though its strong research and advisory credentials and contemporary curriculum updates. We collaborate with industry-centric bodies such as The Open Group both to contribute to development of body of knowledge, and as well disseminate among the industry and the young managers through certification and other educational programs.
Q. How has/will membership in The Open Group benefit you, your organization, and the industry at large?
We have recently taken up this membership and expect it to be mutually beneficial. We hope it will add a positive momentum to our industry-academia virtuous ecosystem.
Q. Why is it important for other organizations to join The Open Group?
Open standards enable interoperability, which removes friction in economic interactions. Friction is a collective loss. Open standards flourish with higher adoption, and hence more organizations, particularly in the knowledge world should join The Open Group.
